Content Writer and Marketer

Healthcare Realty is a publicly traded real estate investment trust that owns and manages medical office buildings across the US. Our headquarters are in Nashville.

We are looking for someone with three to five years’ experience in communications and corporate marketing to round out our Marketing team with great campaign creation and implementation. This position is full-time with benefits, starting immediately, and allows for remote work one day per week.

The position

The Content Writer and Marketer reports to the Vice President of Marketing and works closely with colleagues from all departments of the company. Communication and marketing plans relate to tenant and employee engagement as well as new business opportunities. The Content Writer and Marketer collaborates with our graphic designers, web developer and company leaders to help tell the company’s story with clarity, consistency and creativity. Responsibilities include:

  • Write, edit, and proofread content for internal and external audiences, including the company intranet, website, LinkedIn, presentations, and newsletters.
  • Lead the company’s presence and messaging on professional social media
  • Develop and execute marketing campaign plans related to tenant engagement, property events, new hires, newly acquired properties, employee engagement, employee awards, and other opportunities.
  • Develop copy for marketing and communication campaigns, both digital and print.
  • Support the creation of investor-facing and corporate materials such as ESG reports, shareholder letters, and executive messages.
  • Collaborate with designers and subject matter experts to produce cohesive, brand-aligned communications.
  • Maintain brand voice and ensure consistency across all content.
  • Research, interview, and translate technical or business information into accessible, engaging writing.
  • Generate creative ideas to enhance engagement and strengthen our storytelling.
  • Develop materials to educate staff across the organization on internal and external communication practices.
  • Identify relevant award and accolade opportunities for properties, employees, and the company. Complete award nominations and submissions.

What We Want

We’re looking for an articulate writer to join our team, who will understand the big picture, recognize opportunities for improvement and attend to the details. You should be a problem solver, a forward-thinker, dependable and ¬¬¬¬professional.

You’ve got:

  • A college degree in communications, journalism or English
  • Three to five years’ experience in professional writing or communications experience (corporate, agency journalism or similar)
  • Excellent written communication
  • Ability to engage across multiple levels and functions within the organization.
  • Dependable follow through with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of digital content best practices (web, email and social)

You will work in our corporate office on West End Avenue in Nashville. Hybrid schedule of four days in office, one day remote each week.
