POSITION SUMMARY:
The Digital Content Creator develops compelling visual content that amplifies our brand, engages our audience, and drives growth. This role is responsible for the full content production lifecycle, from ideation and scripting to shooting, editing, and publishing video and photo assets for use across social media and digital platforms. This is a hands-on, collaborative role that requires comfort both behind and in front of the camera, a strong understanding of social media trends, and the ability to produce high-quality, on-brand content in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position with business hours Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; work outside of these days and hours occur occasionally in order to meet the needs of the business. This position is located onsite in Olympia, WA and reports directly to the Director of Marketing. Local travel will be required from time to time. Responsibilities herein represent typical elements and criteria considered necessary to perform the job successfully. Other duties may be assigned to meet emerging business needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create engaging content for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.) that increases engagement, builds brand loyalty, and supports campaign goals.
- Develop and pitch content concepts in collaboration with the Marketing Team, including writing scripts, storyboards, and shot lists.
- Coordinate and lead photo/video shoots, including scheduling, location setup, talent direction, and prop management.
- Serve as on-camera talent and/or voiceover for educational, promotional, or branded content as needed.
- Coordinates with other internal departments such as Education Team, R&D Team, Production Team, Leadership, Facilities, and others in preparation of video shoots.
- Edit and repurpose content for use across multiple platforms and formats, optimizing for audience and channel.
- Ensure that content aligns with scientific standards and regulatory compliance in partnership with the QA, Education, and R&D teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to ensure cohesive brand storytelling.
- Monitor social media trends and competitor content to inform strategy and identify new opportunities.
- Manage and respond to content requests via the internal Marketing Request Form.
- Maintain equipment and software proficiency, staying current with the latest in content production tools and trends.
KEY REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- (Three) 3+ years of professional experience in video/photo production and editing.
- (Three) 3+ years of experience in digital marketing or content creation for customer-facing platforms.
- On-camera experience with the ability to act, script-read, and provide voiceovers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, Marketing, Film, or related field.
- Proficiency in editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop).
- Strong organizational and time management skills; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to accept and apply feedback from multiple stakeholders.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Flexibility to travel locally and occasionally out of town for shoots or events.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with consumer packaged goods (CPG), especially in the natural products industry
- Experience with Asana or similar project management platforms.
- Familiarity with DSHEA regulations and compliance in marketing

- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time; a stand-up desk is available upon request.

Salary Range (DOE): $28.13 - $46.88 per hour
