The Email Marketing Manager will work closely with the VP of Performance Marketing to execute and optimize PragerU’s email and SMS marketing programs. This role is responsible for managing campaign workflows, overseeing the email system (Iterable), and ensuring that communications support key organizational goals including audience growth, retention, donations, and content promotion.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and day-to-day execution of PragerU’s email and SMS marketing campaigns, aligned with organizational goals.
  • Manage the email interface system (Iterable), including scheduling, delivery, and technical administration for both general PragerU and PragerU Kids campaigns.
  • Coordinate campaigns that reach millions of active subscribers with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Partner with paid media, content, and partnerships teams to support high-quality list acquisition and engagement.
  • Monitor, test, and optimize campaigns regularly (A/B testing, segmentation, personalization, etc.) to improve performance.
  • Track and report on key metrics for all campaigns, identifying insights and recommending improvements.
  • Ensure email and SMS messages are clear, consistent, and delivered properly to recipients.
  • Help maintain email deliverability, list health, and domain reputation.
  • Contribute to content creation for email campaigns, applying and evolving best practices.
  • Assist in the development of lifecycle communication journeys to engage, retain, and reactivate audiences.
  • Utilize marketing technology to automate campaigns where appropriate while applying personalization strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with email and SMS regulations (CAN-SPAM, TCPA) and maintain deliverability standards.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to one direct report.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Successful Candidates Will Possess:

  • 3–5 years of experience in email marketing, with some experience managing campaigns or projects; prior supervisory experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of direct email marketing and SMS practices
  • Solid understanding of segmentation, automation, deliverability, A/B testing, and audience engagement strategies
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with HTML; ability to quickly learn technical systems and in-house tools
  • Experience with subscription/membership or donor-based business models preferred
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to translate insights into actionable improvements
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience providing guidance or mentorship to colleagues or junior staff
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work through ambiguity and change

Salary Range: The salary target for this role is $85,000 - $110,000. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and most recent market data. This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on personal and company performance, in addition to our robust benefits package.
