*This is a hybrid role with three weeks per month onsite (Mon. – Thurs.). The fourth week is fully remote.

The Email Marketing Specialist will play a critical role in driving growth and engagement across all Email, SMS and Loyalty. They will be a strategic thinker, able to bring a creative vision to the role while staying focused on business objectives. They will possess a deep understanding of the Lands’ End brand and the fashion, retail, and lifestyle space, and will be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless user experience across all touchpoints. The ideal candidate will inspire creativity and collaboration among team members while delivering measurable results that drive the business forward. The Email Marketing Specialist will ensure timely and accurate execution of marketing initiatives and will foster and maintain strong relationships with internal cross functional partners and external partners to keep the Retention Marketing team informed of new initiatives, industry updates and feature releases. This role will report to the Email Marketing Manager and work closely with the creative team to ensure a cohesive brand message across all the retention channels.

Email Campaign Calendar, Documentation & Tracking:

  • Assist Email Marketing Manager in building and updating the Email and SMS calendars.
  • Collaborate with the Sr. CRM Manager on building and updating the Loyalty calendar.
  • Maintain accurate records of all ongoing and upcoming sales and promotions.
  • Ensure that all campaign details (dates, offers, discounts, etc.) are accurately captured and communicated across relevant teams.
  • Build campaign names and update metadata sheet for reporting purposes.
  • Develop linking strategy for all emails, including selecting links for email slices and boosting relevant products.
  • Own end to end email project management and routing process.
  • Own weekly email + sms recap deck to be delivered every Monday.
  • Own the cross-functional email content calendar and coordinate across departments (Creative, Editorial, Buying, and Site Merchandising) to ensure cohesive email content and on-site clickthrough experiences.
  • Partner with Sr. Email Marketing Manager and Brand Marketing team to ensure key brand initiatives are supported in campaign calendars.
  • Provide post campaign launch recaps for key brand initiatives.
  • Assist Email Marketing Manager in developing new emails templates and updating existing templates.
  • Own seasonal updates of email header/footer.
  • Partner with Email Marketing Manager on creation and maintenance of evergreen asset library, consisting of evergreen promo emails, sub-banners and more.
  • Maintain SL performance tracking document and inform copywriting team of what’s working and what’s not.
  • Partner with email & SMS platform vendors to adopt best practices and improve performance.
  • Collaborate with Retention Marketing Team on the set up and testing of dynamic content.

Creative Briefs:

  • Collaborate with the Email Marketing Manager, Integrated Marketing and Creative teams to submit comprehensive creative briefs for campaign assets.
  • Ensure that creative assets align with campaign goals and timelines.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising and Planning teams on product selection and pricing for emails.

A/B Testing:

  • Assist in setting up Email + SMS A/B tests.
  • Own post-campaign reporting, including pulling data and creating recap decks.
  • Assist Email Marketing Manager in A/B test ideation and scheduling within testing roadmap.
  • Submit A/B test requests to creative team.

SMS:

  • Write batch + blast and triggered SMS copy.
  • Develop linking strategy for all SMS, including selecting links for campaigns and boosting relevant products.
  • Collaborate with Retention Marketing Team on audience development and selection for each campaign.
  • Stay up to date on the latest SMS industry trends.
  • Partner with CRM Manager on executing updates on existing campaigns and launching new triggered campaigns.

Promo Code Generation:

  • Create and manage promo codes for sales events, ensuring they are correctly applied across platforms and promotions.
  • Test promo codes for functionality and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the promotion period.

Pricing File Management:

  • Upload updated pricing files for promotions and sales events, ensuring that product prices reflect the campaign offers.
  • Monitor the integrity of pricing and offer visibility on the website, and work with the IT/Dev team to resolve any issues.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with planning, marketing, and IT teams to ensure seamless execution of promotional activities.
  • Communicate campaign timelines, deliverables, and expectations to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Drive improvement in processes to operate more effectively through collaboration with cross-divisional teams.

Ad Hoc Support:

  • Provide support as needed for special projects, such as flash sales, product launches, or seasonal campaigns.

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, or similar) is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    Education & Experience Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • At least 1-2 years of experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, or campaign coordination.
    • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, pricing management tools, and promotion tracking systems.

    The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $90,000. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographical location, and business or organizational needs. This position may also be eligible for annual merit increase, bonus, and/or incentive compensation.
