The goal of the Off Road Vehicle Digital and Marketing team is to develop strategies and goals that deliver the right message to customers at the right time in their journey, ultimately driving retail conversion and the best customer experience for our customers. The team works cross-functionally across multiple key stakeholders to drive a consistent and seamless experience and connection with our customers digitally.
The Lead Content Strategist is responsible for driving content strategy and execution, serving as a resource primarily for the Polaris Off Road business and its key partners. This role is responsible for developing and editing high-impact content, ensuring consistency across channels, and accelerating delivery timelines through improved processes. The Lead Content Strategist is responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams—including marketing, UX, and brand—to unify voice, optimize performance, and elevate the customer experience through strategic content leadership. It is also responsible for leading the rollout and adoption of AI-enabled copywriting technologies, shaping messaging frameworks, enhancing storytelling across digital platforms, and enabling the businesses to improve their copywriting capabilities.
This role is highly cross-functional in nature, working with teams across the various Polaris businesses and digital teams to ensure flawless execution & drive high-impact results.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Strategy & Development
Lead the development of holistic content strategies in partnership with the business and cross-functional teams that span across digital, paid media, channel marketing, cultivation, owner engagement and beyond.
Create and refine messaging frameworks that support storytelling across diverse platforms and audience segments.
Develop and edit content for a wide range of formats including web pages, campaign assets, product messaging, email, social media, and internal communications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure content aligns with brand voice, business objectives, and audience needs.
Use performance data and audience insights to inform content decisions and identify opportunities for optimization across channels.
Messaging & Campaign Development
Collaborate with marketing teams to craft compelling product and campaign messaging, from initial positioning to final execution.
Develop Features, Advantages, and Benefits (FABs) to support product storytelling and reduce review cycles.
AI-Enabled Copywriting Leadership
Spearhead the rollout of AI-powered copywriting tools across Polaris, including training, adoption, and process integration.
Shape messaging frameworks and positioning strategies that leverage AI capabilities for speed and consistency.
Serve as a subject matter expert and advocate for AI-driven content innovation.
Cross-Platform Consistency
Ensure message consistency across all channels, including web, email, social media, paid media, and owner communications.
Create and maintain a standardized communication style guide to unify brand voice across touchpoints.
Process Improvement & Agility
Lead initiatives to streamline content creation and review processes, reducing delivery timelines and improving quality.
Drive continuous improvement in content workflows, leveraging data and feedback to refine strategies.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Required
7+ years of experience in content strategy, copywriting, or digital marketing, preferably in a multi-brand or matrixed organization.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or equivalent degree
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
Proven experience working with AI or automation tools in content workflows.
Ability to apply an understanding of existing and emerging technology and digital marketing needs to the development and implementation of content strategy and copy build out
Strong understanding of SEO impacts, UX principles, and digital performance metrics.
Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Solid understanding of project management methodology including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications and run project meetings
Experience in managing projects using JIRA/Agile/LeanKit or other PM tools
Experience with content management systems (CMS), analytics tools, and project management platforms.
Understanding of the project lifecycle of digital marketing campaigns, including website creation and content updates
Experience working with and managing multiple technical/specialist partners like UX, Design, Development, Content, Analytics

Corporate office environment – in office 3 days/week (WFH 2 days)
The starting pay range for Minnesota is $90,000 to $115,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
