Job Responsibilities
Digital Marketing Strategy:
· Participates in and leads meetings to help make content connections across teams and to ensure digital marketing strategy and user experience is taken into account for all projects.
· Collaborates with marketing, internal communications and external communications teams to ensure digital tactics are strategically aligned and provides recommendations about how to best deliver the content/message for the audience in a digital platform (website, e-mail, etc.)
· Serves as an SEO and content expert for our digital properties (website, e-communications) including ownership of the choa.org homepage strategy and parent resource article strategy as well as other Children’s properties such as marcus.org and choa.org/give.
· Produces content articles, webpages and e-communications as needed to deliver on content strategy, system, and marketing goals.
· Identifies content trends, ideas and best practice by reviewing content from key pediatric hospital competitors, as well as prominent parenting blogs, influencers, websites, etc.
· Able to curate different content strategies and digital user journeys for specific target audiences.
· Identifies audience-specific content topics, ideas and opportunities, owns web content projects as needed and works across teams to ensure content is optimized for search.
· Proactively reviews website analytics and search rankings across key business areas to identify content opportunities as well as suggestions to improve user experience; shares insights with marketing team members and leads key optimization projects based on learnings.
· Exhibits initiative, proactivity, and curiosity to develop integrated messages, plans and recommendations with cross-functional marketing and communications teams.
· Understands how to create effective, compelling and consultative presentations; understands business goals, marketing channels and marketing plans to confidently present to teams and business partners.
· Creates meaningful meeting agendas in order to effectively lead and create alignment around discussions; proactively initiates next steps coming out of meetings to keep initiatives moving forward.
· May supervise interns as needed
Project Management:
· Manages a variety of digital projects and multiple timelines including website content and e-communications, as well as special projects, as needed.
· Initiates projects by asking thoughtful, strategic questions that lead to valuable project insights and strives to identify new ideas and ways to reinvent existing projects.
· Writes and uses creative briefs to guide projects and deliver on the main goal.
· Creates and updates templates, as needed, to support digital and marketing teams for new websites, enhancements, etc.
· Serves as marketing project owner for new digital implementations for websites or e-communications.
· Reviews and optimizes digital processes, in collaboration with other team members, to ensure efficient delivery of projects.
· Identifies issues and works with manager or other team members to quickly provide solutions and keep projects moving forward.
· Balances urgency with accuracy to deliver the best work.
· Understands how to prioritize workload in order to adjust and pivot when business needs change.
· Maintains brand and digital consistency by learning visual identity standards, digital component guide and editorial style guide.
· Tracks progress and reconciles project plans as needed to ensure projects deliver on time and on budget.
Uses project management platform and follows department processes for managing projects.
