Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Web Content Writer / Web Content Manager to create and manage clear, accurate, and engaging content for public-facing websites. This role involves developing content strategies, producing and editing materials, ensuring brand consistency, and enhancing user experience through thoughtful design, SEO best practices, and data-driven updates.
The successful candidate will be creative, resourceful, organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams including subject matter experts, UI/UX designers, analysts, and developers.
Research relevant topics, strategies, and comparable projects from other organizations.
Define and implement content strategies to present complex information clearly for targeted audiences.
Write, edit, proofread, and fact-check web content prior to publication.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align content with stakeholder needs.
Maintain consistent branding, tone, and messaging across all web content.
Optimize content for SEO, performance, accessibility, and user experience.
Regularly review and update website content, including dynamic project updates.
Manage project timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
8+ years experience in web content writing or digital marketing.
8+ years working knowledge of SEO, content strategy, website editing, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
5+ years experience with content planning and performance tracking.
5+ years strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
4+ years professional copywriting and proofreading experience.
2+ years basic graphic editing skills with Photoshop and/or Illustrator.
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field.
Strong portfolio showcasing content for varied audiences.
2+ years experience in early childhood care and education content.
2+ years experience collaborating across multiple agencies or organizations.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to balance creativity with accuracy and clarity.
Excellent interpersonal skills for working with diverse stakeholders.
