Job Purpose:

The SEO Manager is the technical expert for the team, accountable for all aspects of technical SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). In this role, you will manage the planning and execution of advanced technical SEO projects across Talent Systems’ global ecosystem. Your guidance and data-driven insights will ensure our website's portfolio is optimized for search according to industry best practices and is easily understood and cited by LLMs.

Reports To: Senior Director, SEO, Content & Social Media

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify and recommend SEO and GEO improvements such as landing pages, schema, site taxonomy and other opportunities to scale visibility and growth.
  • Partner with growth, content and product teams to plan and execute technical SEO and GEO strategies.
  • Devise and execute an SEO/GEO roadmap, bridging the gap between the content and growth initiatives and partnering across teams as needed.
  • Champion GEO within the Marketing and cross-functional teams, staying up-to-date on best practices and deploying them across Talent Systems’ brands.
  • Monitor websites for errors on an ongoing basis, recommending and executing on fixes.
  • Conduct regular SEO audits, identifying areas of improvement, and executing SEO tactics such as ongoing evaluation of keywords and link building.
  • Establish channel-level goals and KPIs tied to our company’s goals, and develop and execute a clear strategy to meet them.
  • Optimize all content initiatives by providing data-driven, research-backed insights and identifying linking opportunities.
  • Implement and enhance Structured Data where needed
  • Develop content and SEO reporting and communicate performance results using data visualization.
  • Manage off-platform business profiles (eg. Google Business, Yelp)

Qualifications & Attributes:

Skills Needed:

  • Expertise in technical SEO and website auditing tools (e.g., Screaming Frog, SEMrush).
  • A deep understanding of generative engine optimization (GEO), including how AI and LLMs process and synthesize web content.
  • Advanced knowledge of Schema Markup and WordPress management.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Google Analytics, pivot tables, and formulas.
  • Proven copywriting ability, contributing page copy that is both engaging and well-optimized.
  • Experience with standard tools and platforms including but not limited to WordPress, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Search Console, Semrush, Screaming Frog and Looker Dashboards.

Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing with a strong emphasis on technical SEO.
  • A proven track record of implementing structured data, improving website performance, and executing SEO tactics.
  • Hands-on experience developing, deploying and monitoring GEO strategies, preferably for an enterprise website.
