Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Fontainebleau Development. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc.  The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment.  If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

Scope of Position

The Social Media & Content Manager is responsible for overall management, content creation and social media strategy for the Resort across all relevant social media platforms, working to grow audiences and effectively represent the brand’s voice online.  This position is additionally responsible for strategy, execution /creation, editing, and storage of additional marketing content, including in-house shot and professionally outsourced. This position works within the Marketing and Public Relations team, reporting to the Executive Director of Marketing and Public Relations and working closely with internal team members to create and implement social media calendars, campaigns, and strategy in alignment with Property, Brand and overall marketing goals.


Responsibilities

Oversee all Resort social channels including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok – for the Resort, Tidal Cove Waterpark and Bourbon Steak
Develop high-quality, on-brand, engaging original content to increase brand presence and social media audience.
Create and manage social editorial calendar, posting schedule, social content shoot planning and execution, and review content created by team members.
Coordinate and work with department members across the Resort to plan social media content shoots and to assure monthly coverage of all on-site ancillaries.
Work with Senior Marketing Manager and Executive Marketing & PR Director regarding marketing and content initiatives.
Plan and coordinate content photo/video shoots ensuring all content is in-line with brand goals and strategies.
Utilize social media management tools such as Sprout Social to track KPIs, analyze data and develop reports to communicate overall social impact.
Keep pace with industry trends and use them to improve how we do business, drive results, and engage audiences.
Benchmark and monitor competitors and industry leaders in social media and content used for marketing, to apply best practices.
Serve as the Resort’s resident expert on all social media and content production techniques, including best practices, testing emerging platforms, and competitive analysis.
Facilitate partnerships with influencers and other businesses to create marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, channel growth and engagement. This includes working with the Resort’s public relations agencies to identify opportunities, negotiate influencer collaborations, and host influencers at the Resort.
In conjunction with the operations and monitoring team, work with the department’s Social Media Specialist to act as customer service leads when handling escalations on social media platforms.
Support the Resort’s public relations initiatives by highlighting press mentions and integrating PR initiatives into the editorial calendar to develop timely content aligned with pitches.
Manage in-house content production shoots and oversee outsourced professional shoots taking place at the Resort to aid in the continual expansion of photo and video to promote property both within Social Media and other marketing platforms.  This includes identifying ongoing content needs, strategizing content shoots, creating shoot storyboards, and overseeing outsourced shoots including editing processes.
Serve as the Marketing Team’s content storage and organization expert, taking lead in organizing and simplifying content storage and obtainment.
Research social media and content production trends and inform management of changes that are relevant to the Resort’s marketing activities.
Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management.

 

Position Requirements

3+ years of experience in social media, marketing, and visual communications
2+ years of experience of video production, photography, and video editing experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet critical deadlines.
Keen attention to detail, proofreading and auditing.
Familiarity with social-first video creation tools like CapCut, InShot, and native editing in Instagram, TikTok
Experience operating various photography and videography equipment usage including DSLR Cameras. Familiarity with GoPro equipment, wireless microphones, drones, and equipment stabilizers is a plus.
Experience working with social media influencers and cross-brand collaborations is a plus.
Graphic design knowledge and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus (Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, Acrobat, Premiere Pro)
Ability to manage, lead, and train others in creative environment.
Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to collaborate with both members of the marketing team and operators of various on-site management teams and effectively communicate ideas (i.e. – content brainstorming, content shoots, model direction, etc.)
Able to measure results and present them effectively to company leadership in a proactive and easy-to-digest format
Ability to conceptualize and execute creative vision in relation to content and new ideas.
Experience with social media tools and task managers such as Sprout Social and Airtable is a plus
Understanding of cross-platform marketing initiatives (web, mobile, tablet)
Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends
Knowledge with resort, restaurant, spa, golf and/or club membership processes is a plus
Fluent in English language. Second language is a plus
Must be able to work on-site at the Resort as a full-time, in-house team member
Must be able to occasionally work non-standard workdays and hours (i.e. – outside of Monday-Friday, 9am – 5pm) to obtain and/or oversee content creation shoots of various important events and resort happenings, potentially including holidays.


Education

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Content Production/Creation, Mass Communications, or related experience in field
 

Skills and Abilities

Experience using computers and software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
 

Physical Requirements

Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
Must be physically fit in order to lift, pull and push items up to 50 pounds.
Requires standing/walking/reaching and bending throughout shift.
