Social Media & Content Strategist (Firearms & Tactical)
You should know:
Location: On-Site in North Dallas, TX and/or Farmers Branch, TX
Position Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Compensation: Up to $80K
Citizenship Requirements: U.S. Citizens and Green Card Holders only
Why this role matters:
We are looking for a heavy-hitter to lead our digital presence. This isn't a role for a casual hobbyist or a generalist agency; we need a Subject Matter Expert (SME) who lives and breathes the industry. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between high-level technical specs and compelling brand narratives, ensuring our voice is respected by professionals and enthusiasts alike.
What you'll do everyday:
Narrative Ownership: Develop and execute social media strategies that speak directly to specific audience segments, from first-time buyers to competitive shooters and tactical professionals and sporting enthusiasts.
Technical Content Creation: Translate complex firearm specifications and accessory applications into digestible, high-engagement content without losing technical accuracy.
Campaign Management: Lead the end-to-end execution of branded social media campaigns, ensuring consistent ROI and community growth across all platforms.
Community Authority: Act as the "voice of the brand," engaging in high-level technical discussions and maintaining brand integrity in a highly scrutinized industry.
Platform Navigation: Expertly manage content distribution within the shifting landscape of social media community standards related to regulated goods.
What you bring:
Intermediate to Advanced Firearms Knowledge: You must possess a deep understanding of firearm platforms (AR, bolt-action, handgun), optics, ballistics, and tactical gear. You should be comfortable discussing "use-case" scenarios and technical applications with confidence. You must be able to effectively market specific products to nuanced target audiences with a compelling and impactful message.
Industry Fluency: You understand the nuances of the firearms community. You know the "unwritten rules" of the culture and how to craft narratives that build trust rather than just "moving product."
Proven Social Media Track Record: Minimum 3+ years of experience managing official company/branded social media accounts.
You know how to read analytics, pivot strategies, and scale a brand’s digital footprint.
Strategic Thinking: Experience running paid (where applicable) and organic campaigns that align with broader business objectives and product launches.
Bonus if you have:
Experience with photography or videography within the tactical space.
Active participation in the shooting sports or tactical training community.
Knowledge of compliance and legal considerations for firearm-related marketing.
