Key job responsibilities
* Influence team priorities, business strategies, and goals through data-driven contributions in relation to the business need.
* Lead contractor team (3+) charged with purchasing, inventory tracking, and transactional best practices for ASV.
* Supervise reporting, forecasting, budgeting processes and tools for key programs; track resource allocation, including personnel, equipment and budget, ensuring optimal resource utilization by forecasting demands, anticipating project needs, and proposing adjustments. Drive financial/business analysis
* Develop audit mechanisms to drive scalability and compliance with Amazon protocols, including spend and transaction policy, shipping policy and donation policies.
* Develop and manage KPIs to measure, control and benchmark procurement processes including creation of recurring metrics reports to drive improvements for ASV. Build productivity plans.
* Align with internal customers, Finance and Studio Operations to understand budgetary targets and develop methods of measuring and defining savings, value and other category metrics
* Partner with suppliers and various internal teams to develop mechanisms for opening and reconciling purchase orders and invoices and ensure timely resolution of vendor payment issues.
*Lead team of broadcast engineers, editors and production specialists.
* Communicate across a range of locales, roles, and functions (e.g., design, product/program, engineering, marketing, finance, PR, sales, external partners).

A day in the life
As the Sr. Content Operations Manager for the ASV content team, you will lead ASV’s vendor management and merchandise procurement, including budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, contract management and purchase order management. You will develop and drive operational processes for ASV’s entire content team (e.g., business reviews, finance and operations, goal management). You will drive contract negotiations and drive supplier management KPI and metrics reporting, while working with stakeholders to find and understand deviation and improvement areas. You will provide procurement leadership and align with our content leadership team to drive efficiencies and improvements at our studio sites. You will be comfortable leading complex operational data analysis projects, developing and implementing process improvements, and communicating findings and recommendations to senior management through data visualizations and reports. You will have experience and thrive in environments that require you to develop structure where none exists. In short, you will be the lead operations manager for a fun, innovative, and growing business unit within Amazon.

Amazon Shopping Videos (ASV) is a growing business within the Amazon Advertising, IMDb and Grand Challenge (AIGC) business unit. AIGC is one of the fastest growing business units within Amazon, with the highest percentage margin contribution of any large business. ASV is delivering the video shopping experience to Amazon consumers, with a purpose to enable customers to find inspiration, information, entertainment, and community through videos at any point in their shopping journey. The ASV team designs, builds and operates both owned and operated destination experiences (e.g.amazon.com/live, Amazon Live’s channel on Prime Video), as well as federated experiences across the Amazon.com website (e.g. Amazon homepage, product detail pages for over 21MM products). In addition, ASV sources shoppable video content from brands, influencers and consumers to populate both types of experiences.
*6+ years of budgeting, scheduling and cost reporting experience
*Comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity
*7+ years of direct people management experience
*Experience with variance analysis with a track record of using data to drive decision-making.
*Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively across diverse teams
*Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in Business, Operations Management or Production Operations Management
*Proficiency in Microsoft Excel software or equivalent
*experience in supply chain operations including supplier/ vendor relationship management
*Knowledge of video production crews, live streaming technologies, studio workflows, edit and post- production techniques, production calendars and staffing
*Experience in Coupa or other financial management/procurement software
*Experience with cost accounting
*Previous experience in a financial or operations capacity at a Social Media, Streaming and / or Media company
*Understanding of key performance indicators and financial metrics critical to media and social media enterprises
*Familiarity with video production processes, digital media, and streaming technologies
*Experience managing large-scale budgets within the media, entertainment or streaming industry

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $268,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
