About the Role

As the team’s sole Staff Content Designer, you’ll be the primary steward of content craft across our member experiences. You’ll work embedded within a highly collaborative Product Design team, partnering closely with designers, product managers, and clinical experts — while independently defining and advancing the content discipline at Hinge Health.

  • Serve as the foundational voice and advocate for content design, establishing standards, practices, and influence across the organization

  • Translate domain knowledge (e.g., habit formation, pain science, etc) into clear, engaging, digestible learning content for members

  • Contribute to and evolve our design system by developing scalable guidelines, systems, and principles that elevate clarity, cohesion, and accessibility

  • Partner closely with design, product, and clinical peers to ensure a cohesive narrative and clinical accuracy across the member experience

 Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience shipping larger scale software products

  • A standout and updated portfolio demonstrating high-impact work, with a high bar for quality and craft

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Human-Computer Interaction Design, or another relevant field or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comfortable acting as a solo practitioner and discipline owner

  • Ability to advocate for content quality and clarity over time

  • Background in health writing, habit formation, or science communication

  • Experience translating complex concepts into clear, trustworthy narratives

  • Knowledge in A11Y labeling and best practices

  • Ability to navigate legal approvals and collaboration with advisory teams

Salary Range: 150,000 - 220,000 USD per year.
