As a Content Strategist, your role includes planning, developing, and leading external content across digital platforms, ensuring it aligns with business goals, serves user needs, and maintains brand voice.

In addition to crafting and implementing a plan for producing content, responsibilities may include crafting a schedule and assigning projects, crafting and documenting processes and best practices, auditing content for reuse, exploring and implementing innovative content delivery methods, content governance, and cross-functional teamwork to deliver valuable, consistent, and accurate content!

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Planning: Scope out content requirements and develop comprehensive content strategies that span content creation, reuse, delivery, and governance.
  • Content Management: Proactively manage content within the content management system and take ownership for quality and accuracy.
  • Audience & Content Analysis: Analyze and map content to the customer journey; audit existing content to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Content Delivery: Analyze production and delivery methods, and follow up with ongoing testing, management, and refinement to innovate and improve on current methods.
  • Governance & Standards: Ensure online content supports SEO goals, brand standards, web style guidelines, and legal and compliance requirements.
  • Performance & Optimization: Develop an understanding of current and future digital trends across platforms.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams in digital marketing, product marketing, UX, and development teams to understand requirements, identify content needs, and align on business goals.

  • UX/Technical: Understanding content delivery across platforms.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, English, Technical Writing, Information Management.
  • 3–7 years of experience in content marketing, editorial roles, copywriting, or digital content management.
  • Proficiency in content management, web DAMs, project management; attention to detail; ability to troubleshoot technical issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM); Adobe FrameMaker; Adobe Guides; Adobe Illustrator
  • Enterprise DAMs
  • Workfront
