Title: Web Content Manager
Location: Washington, DC (On-Site)
Travel: Travel beyond the minimum local commuting area of 50 miles from the primary place of performance will be required
Clearance: Current Public Trust or the ability to obtain one

**This position is contingent on contract award**

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, review and respond to web communications services requests.
  • Set up, change or remove web content manager permissions.
  • Test, monitor, and optimize content to maximize engagement and demand.
  • Identify and resolve accessibility issues.
  • Support efforts to conduct web site audits to develop and existing map.
  • Identify existing pages that are obsolete and archive/unpublish them.
  • Serve as back up support for emerging leadership web publications.
  • Help create redirects for new web pages.
  • Identify areas of modernization and/or process improvement related to web design and migration.
  • Develop and manage content on SharePoint.
  • Review website content, provide monthly user data reports, and recommend website updates, revisions, and archiving outdated web content related to improving user experience.
  • Develop new or update existing content. This includes developing or updating content that incorporates links to relevant content from across USCG websites, based on metadata and subject matter. Design and implement subsites/microsites, webpages, and other features.
  • Recommend the development of and provide ongoing support for search engine optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with Section 508 and improve the accessibility of content.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, media, or related field., and
  • At least four (4) years of relevant experience, or
  • At least two (2) years of experience with a Master’s degree or higher in business, communications, media, or related field.
  • Ability to write content and edit web pages using plain language.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
