Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Web Content Writer to join our Marketing team. This individual will be responsible for writing compelling, educational, and authoritative content for all our digital platforms, including our website, blog, and landing pages. A core part of this role involves mastering the art of modern search optimization, including both traditional SEO and optimizing for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) to capture AI-driven answers.

*This is an on-site position located in Loveland, OH. Candidates must be able to work on-site daily.

Position Responsibilities

Content Creation & Production:

  • Website Copy: Write and maintain high-quality, engaging, and error-free copy for all website pages (e.g., Industry and Application pages, Product pages, etc).
  • Blog and articles: Develop and produce a consistent stream of long-form and short-form blog posts, articles, case studies, and educational guides to drive organic traffic and establish thought leadership.
  • Landing Pages: Craft persuasive, high-converting copy for marketing landing pages used in campaigns to maximize lead generation and conversion rates.
  • Editing & Proofreading: Edit and proofread content produced by internal and external contributors to ensure brand voice, consistency, and compliance with editorial guidelines.

 

Search Engine and Generative Engine Optimization (SEO & GEO):

  • Keyword and Query Strategy: Conduct thorough keyword research, query research, competitive analysis, and content gap analysis to inform the editorial calendar and content structure.
  • On-Page SEO: Implement on-page SEO best practices, including optimizing titles, headers and sub-headers (H1, H2, H3, etc), meta descriptions, image alt text, and internal linking.
  • Generative Engine Optimization (GEO): Write and structure content to rank highly in AI-powered search environments, optimizing for "zero-click" answers.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze content performance using tools like Google Analytics and Semrush to identify opportunities for optimization and refresh.

 

Position Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in content writing and web copywriting.

Skill Competencies

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating success in writing for digital channels (websites, blogs, landing pages) with clear traffic or conversion metrics.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO and GEO principles and tools, including demonstrated experience in optimizing content specifically for AI summarization.
  • Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress and HubSpot).
  • Expertise in using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, and other SEO and GEO platforms.
  • Excellent research, fact-checking, and interviewing skills to gather authoritative information from internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and external sources.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
