Description

Position Purpose:

The Charis Content Writer will create compelling, Christ-centered written materials that inspire, inform, and engage audiences while advancing Charis Bible College’s mission of training disciples in the uncompromising truth of God’s Word. This role blends creativity with strategic marketing - developing persuasive copy for web, email, print, and promotional campaigns that drive engagement and directly influence enrollment initiatives. The Charis Content Writer will translate Charis’ vision into professional and engaging communication that resonates with audiences, aligns with the Charis brand, and contributes to measurable marketing results.

Essential Duties:

  • Develop and write content for emails, articles, blogs, websites, social media platforms, and lead magnets.
  • Tailor content (tone, style, and message) for different audiences and platforms while maintaining a consistent and coherent brand voice across all channels.
  • Collaborate with marketing, creative, and content teams to ensure content aligns with overall campaign goals and strategies.
  • Contribute ideas in content brainstorming sessions and propose innovative initiatives.
  • Plan, maintain, and execute content calendars to ensure timely publication of materials.
  • Conduct A/B testing of content to maximize results.
  • Analyze performance metrics to assess content effectiveness and recommend improvements based on data insights.
  • Edit and proofread own work to ensure high standards of language, style, and accuracy.
  • Learn and master the use of ministry email platforms to build, test, and schedule email campaigns, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with marketing strategies and content calendar.
  • Assist in the review of content produced by other team members, providing constructive feedback when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to repurpose written content into visual or video formats for various platforms.
  • Occasionally assist with creating or editing basic graphics, short-form videos, or other multimedia content to complement written materials.
  • Coordinate with other departments across the ministry to ensure a cohesive approach to projects and campaigns.
  • Occasionally interview instructors, alumni, and students to assist in creating content.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Skilled in writing across multiple formats and adapting style to various audiences, media, and platforms.
  • Creative and innovative thinker with a proven ability to develop content that captures attention, inspires action, and builds long-term audience engagement.
