Job Purpose


Welldoc is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Clinical & Technical Content Writer to play a key role in developing and optimizing our digital health applications. You will leverage your expertise into create engaging and effective app content that empower users to adopt and maintain positive lifestyle changes in areas such as nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management with particular focus on use of GLP-1 medications. You will be instrumental in shaping the user experience and ensuring our apps are not only user-friendly but also engaging and clinically sound.


** This is a contract position that will likely last three to four months with the possibility to extend or convert to full time for the right candidate.

 

Responsibilities


  • Develop mobile consumer-facing content that promotes user engagement, behavior change and a healthy lifestyle particularly for those with cardiometabolic conditions, on or having discontinued a GLP-1 medication.
  • Collaborate with clinical experts and data science team members to develop evidence-based content within AI models.
  • Collaborate with product development team members on the visual design and user interface (UI) of the app.
  • Maintain content within a content management system.
  • Test content within pre-production builds of the app.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in digital health and cardiometabolic health.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, internally and/or externally, and share learnings within functional group, core team, or full company meetings as appropriate.

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience with GLP-1 medications (ideally 2+ years) and lifestyle changes to support their effectiveness.
  • Experience (ideally 2+ years) in weight management or health coaching, with a strong understanding of behavior change theories and motivational interviewing techniques.
  • Experience with healthcare-related writing and editing. Additional medical, clinical, communications, writing, and editing a plus.
  • Experience with digital media (i.e., web, mobile) writing and editing with a consumer focus, preferred
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • High energy, self-starter with a strong work ethic and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and with a genuine passion for helping people improve their health and well-being.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience with Contentful, Figma, Overflow, JIRA, Confluence, prompt engineering. (preferred)

 

Welldoc operates in ISO 13485 and MDSAP regulated and HITRUST and SOC 2 Type II compliant environments.  Therefore, it is expected that all employees will have either prior experience working in those environments or will be trained to understand the requirements needed to work and support those requirements and culture as they relate to individual roles and responsibilities.

 

Required Education                                   

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as dietetics, nursing, public health, or related healthcare or science field

 

Compensation & Benefits

While the anticipated salary range for this position is between $30-45/hour with the expectation that most candidates will fall around the midpoint of the range. Exceptional candidates may exceed the range if education and experience warrant.

 

Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment, you may be required to complete and clear a multi-panel drug screening process.  This screening is in connection with requirements set by certain of the Company’s customers, with which you may be working in this role, and will at all times be administered all applicable laws.
