Overview

Anchour is hiring a Content Strategist to support our website and retainer clients with content plans rooted in strategy, structure, and performance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on turning stakeholder insight, SEO data, and brand messaging into purposeful, user-friendly web experiences. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, developers, and strategists to shape content-first experiences across WordPress and Shopify builds, while also contributing to ongoing client engagements.

We’re looking for someone who’s just as comfortable running a stakeholder interview as they are building a site map, mapping keywords, or defining the narrative for a high-intent landing page. This is a strategic, client-facing role focused on quality, clarity, and ROI.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategic Planning
    • Create content strategies that align with business goals, SEO opportunities, and user needs
    • Build page-level content plans, sitemaps, and narrative frameworks for full website builds
    • Lead stakeholder interviews and translate findings into actionable messaging and content architecture
    • Conduct competitive content audits to uncover gaps, strengths, and differentiation opportunities
  • SEO & Content Performance
    • Perform keyword research and mapping to inform IA and on-page content
    • Audit existing site content with a focus on consolidation, expansion, and optimization
    • Provide SEO-driven recommendations that support UX, brand voice, and performance goals
  • Collaboration & Wireframes
    • Work closely with UX/design to define content hierarchy and page structure
    • Deliver content-first wireframes or annotated wireframe inputs that show intentional structure, not placeholders
    • Ensure that wireframe layouts and flows support the content narrative
  • Messaging & Brand Voice
    • Translate brand strategy into clear, consistent messaging across product, service, and landing pages
    • Help establish or refine tone of voice and positioning based on client goals and audience expectations
  • Client-Facing Leadership
    • Confidently present content strategies and rationale to clients
    • Lead or support workshops around personas, customer journeys, and content models
    • Communicate the value of content choices in terms of ROI, UX, and brand impact

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years of content strategy experience in an agency or fast-paced environment
  • Experience planning content for websites, especially WordPress and Shopify
  • Familiarity with tools like Google Docs, Figma, Screaming Frog, SEMrush (or similar)
  • Strong presentation and communication skills—you can confidently guide clients through strategy
    Understanding of SEO fundamentals and how content supports performance
    A strategic, collaborative mindset—you love solving problems and thinking in systems
