Position Summary:

Responsible for the development and oversight of the Educational Services program; ensuring compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards and recognized best practices in the field of early childhood education.  Responsible for leading the implementation of curriculum and teaching strategies.  Provides leadership to Education Coaches, Special Education Coaches and Mental Health Specialist.



Specific Expectations for Education Manager

  1. Provide leadership and supervision to the Education Team
  2. Act as the point person for team communication delivered to center staff 
  3. Report team concerns to the supervisor
  4. Maintain positive communication with supervisor and team for resolution of concerns
  5. Collaborate with all Content Managers and serve on the Director’s Leadership Team



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is the direct supervisor to Education Coaches, Special Education Coaches and the Mental Health Specialist.



EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or higher in Early Childhood Development or a related field and at least two years of related experience working with infants, toddlers, and/or preschool children.
