The Developer Marketing, Technology and Education (MET) team in the Amazon Devices organization is looking for an email marketing manager to help drive awareness and adoption of our products and services among developers. You will be an advocate for our developer customers and create personalized, enablement-forward experiences. Our developers create engaging experiences for customers on Amazon Fire TV and Fire tablets, Amazon Appstore for Android, and Alexa enabled devices. Our mission is to ensure we are providing engaging and user-friendly content to our developers while driving increased adoption.
Key job responsibilities
As an Email Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven communication strategies within the email automation platform (Salesforce Marketing Cloud). You will manage the email send calendar, work with fellow marketing managers, CRM, MarTech, and Product Marketing partners, and enforce a high bar for all email communications to improve developer experience. This role requires technical and operational knowledge of email service provider platforms and safe send requirements, experience optimizing email performance (A/B testing, experimentation roadmaps, etc.), basic email template coding and editing, and content development. You must have a passion for Email marketing, data analysis, and understanding customers. You have an eye for compelling content and CX, an aptitude for cross-functional partnership, and a passion for testing and measuring. You are highly-organized, have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, the ability to prioritize to meet deadlines, experience managing expectations and dependencies, and deliver data-driven results.
Role includes:
Email Execution & Optimization
* Develop and maintain Amazon Developer branded email templates across key 1:many touchpoints
* Create and optimize automated campaigns based on developer journeys
* Implement ongoing testing programs, analyze results, and recommend improvements for continuous channel optimization
* Partner with design teams to implement bar-raising email experiences that align with brand guidelines
* Ensure email content meets business needs/goals and copyedit for email best practices
* Grow and scale email programs by further centralizing communications for developer audiences through creating workflows and business requirements
Program Management
* Manage email intake, approval workflows, email calendar, data hygiene of email audience and deployment of communications
* Collaborate with stakeholders across marketing and product to prioritize messaging based on business needs
Email Operations
* Ad hoc build, test, and deploy HTML emails and landing pages in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
* Work with technical teams to ensure data synchronizations between email platform and internal CRM systems
* Serve as the Salesforce Marketing Cloud expert and email bar raiser

- 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience managing or working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
- Experience building and optimizing multiple, simultaneous marketing campaigns
- Experience in digital marketing and content production timelines and process
- Experience equally comfortable building strategic marketing plans and executing at a tactical level

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $151,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
