Laurel Springs School is seeking a strategic, creative, and data-driven Content Strategist to elevate our brand through compelling storytelling and innovative marketing initiatives. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead content strategy across multiple channels, including email campaigns, paid media, blogs, website content, and marketing collateral, to drive enrollment and boost brand awareness.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic storyteller and marketing strategist who understands audience psychology, market trends, and competitor positioning. You’ll collaborate across departments to craft meaningful content that connects with prospective families and reflects the unique voice of the Laurel Springs community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Content Strategy: Develop and execute content strategies that support enrollment-driven email campaigns, paid ads, web pages, and marketing materials.
  • Tell Powerful Stories: Amplify real student and family stories that reflect the Laurel Springs experience—creating shareable, emotionally resonant content across platforms.
  • Conduct Market Research: Analyze competitors and industry trends to refine brand messaging and position Laurel Springs as a leader in online K–12 education.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with internal teams to translate academic programs into clear, engaging, and persuasive marketing content.
  • Optimize for Performance: Use analytics to measure content effectiveness, adjusting strategy to improve engagement, conversion, and visibility.
  • Drive PR Efforts: Craft press releases and collaborate with media outlets to generate brand exposure.
  • Innovate Content Formats: Lead initiatives such as podcasts, panel events, and other thought leadership content to expand our brand presence.
  • Ensure Brand Consistency: Maintain consistent voice and tone across all written and visual content.
  • Leverage SEO & Digital Tools: Apply SEO best practices to maximize website indexing and visibility; use tools like Google Analytics, Canva, and Bitly to track performance.
  • Implement UTM Parameters: Create and manage UTM codes to monitor campaign effectiveness and optimize marketing strategies.
  • Engage Your Audience: Create content that aligns with audience interests and supports enrollment goals.
  • Contribute to School Culture: Participate in school-wide meetings and virtual events (some evenings required), maintaining a professional and collaborative presence.
  • Commit to Growth: Engage in ongoing professional development and self-improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in content strategy, digital marketing, or brand storytelling.
  • Proficient in SEO and content optimization techniques.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar design platforms preferred.
  • Proven track record of writing high-impact, audience-specific content.

  • Creative Vision: Passion for education and eagerness to innovate content formats and strategies.
