Career Summary: 


 The Strategic Communications and Member Engagement is seeking a high-performing and dedicated Marketing Writer.  

 

The Marketing Writer will play a key role in crafting compelling, engaging, and strategic content that supports the mission of the American Nurses Enterprise (ANE) and its three entities—the American Nurses Association (ANA), the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), and the American Nurses Foundation (ANF).

 

The role holder will develop a wide range of content, ranging from executive, sensitive and confidential, marketing and branded content that informs, inspires, and engages nurses across all career stages. The ideal candidate is a versatile storyteller who is both strategic and creative with a strong understanding of brand voice, and the ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging, and actionable messaging. The role holder will need to be able to develop, manage and handle highly sensitive information and engage with executive officers on highly confidential topics.

What You Will Do:

 

Writing and content creation:

  • Develop and write highly confidential, sensitive, and executive level content.
  • Develop and write high-quality content that can be disseminated across multiple channels, including executive communications, board communications, as well as other sensitive external stakeholder groups, emails, website copy, newsletters, social media, video scripts, as well as marketing collateral.
  • Craft compelling narratives that elevate ANA & ANF’s advocacy, ANCC products, education, certification, and career development initiatives.
  • Ensure all content aligns with ANE’s brand voice, tone, and messaging guidelines.
  • Maintain the utmost confidentiality and manage and develop highly sensitive content for senior executive stakeholders.
  • Write persuasive copy that drives engagement, brand affinity, and programmatic registrations.
  • Write persuasive copy to aid with sensitive negotiations, operational matters as well as key senior executive engagements which require confidentiality.
  • Develop creative messaging for ANE initiatives, including professional development programs, certifications, advocacy efforts, and fundraising campaigns. Ensure that all written content is optimized for the distribution channel, considering SEO, email, social media, best practices.
  • Stay current on best practices in content development, marketing, social media, and digital storytelling.
  • The role may require occasional after-hours or weekend support based on business needs.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

 

What you bring to the American Nurses Enterprise:

 

Education


  • Undergraduate degree from a 4-year institution required (in advertising, marketing or communications preferred), master’s degree preferred.

 

Related Work Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing writing, content marketing, or related field.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing engaging, high-quality content.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with an ability to tailor messaging for different audiences.
  • Proficiency in SEO best practices and digital content strategy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Optimistic and solution-oriented mindset. 
  • Experience supporting confidential and highly sensitive content development projects.
