Summary:

We’re seeking a Proposal Writer & Technical Content Strategist to lead the creation of persuasive, polished, strategically formatted, and visually stunning proposals that win contracts and task orders. This role blends creative writing, technical understanding, and expert-level document and marketing graphics design. You’ll work closely with our engineers and leadership team to distill complex ideas into clear, engaging narratives that resonate with clients and evaluators.

Responsibilities:

• Craft winning proposals, RFP responses, and task order submissions with a strong narrative arc and persuasive tone.

• Translate technical engineering content into clear, compelling language tailored to client needs.

• Develop and maintain proposal templates, style guides, and formatting standards using advanced tools (MS Word Styles, Adobe Acrobat, etc.)

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content and shape messaging.

• Ensure proposals meet all compliance requirements while standing out creatively.

• Manage proposal timelines, version control, and submission logistics.

• Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, especially in technical and business contexts.

• Proven experience crafting proposals for engineering, architecture, or technical services firms.

• Advanced proficiency in formatting tools (Word Styles, tables, headers/footers, TOCs, etc.)

• Advanced proficiency in marketing graphics and document design.

• Ability to synthesize complex information and present it with clarity and impact.

• Strong project management and organizational skills.

• Flexible work environment with room to grow and lead.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a technical discipline with demonstrated writing expertise.

• 5+ years of experience writing and managing proposals, preferably in engineering, architecture, construction, or other technical services.

• Proven track record of winning government, municipal, or private sector contracts through proposal development.

• Experience working with subject matter experts to translate technical content into persuasive narratives.

• Strong portfolio of past proposals, RFP responses, or marketing materials that demonstrate storytelling, formatting, and graphic design skills.

• Familiarity with procurement platforms (SAM.gov, FedConnect, state/local portals) is a plus.
