Job Description
SUMMARY: We're seeking an experienced Content Marketing SEO contractor to develop and execute content strategies that drive organic growth across our large-scale educational platform and network of school subdomains. This role requires expertise in educational content marketing, SEO content strategy, and building scalable content operations for multi-site educational organizations.

Content Strategy & Planning
Develop comprehensive content marketing strategies aligned with educational goals and SEO objectives
Create editorial calendars and content roadmaps for primary domain and 200+ school subdomains
Conduct content gap analysis and competitor content research in the education sector
Design content frameworks that serve diverse educational audiences (students, parents, educators, administrators)
Establish content governance and brand consistency guidelines across school network
Plan seasonal and event-driven content campaigns for educational milestones and enrollment periods
SEO Content Development
Lead keyword research and content ideation for education-focused search opportunities
Create and optimize high-value content including guides, resources, and educational materials
Develop local content strategies for individual school locations and communities
Write and optimize blog posts, landing pages, and resource center content
Create content briefs and SEO guidelines for internal writers and school marketing teams
Optimize existing content for improved search performance and user engagement
Content Operations & Management
Build scalable content production workflows across multiple school sites
Train and support school-level content creators on SEO best practices
Establish content approval processes and quality assurance protocols
Manage content distribution strategies across owned and earned media channels
Coordinate content promotion through social media, email marketing, and partnerships
Develop content repurposing strategies to maximize reach and efficiency
Performance Analysis & Optimization
Monitor content performance using analytics tools and SEO platforms
Conduct regular content audits and optimization recommendations
Track content-driven organic traffic growth and conversion metrics
Analyze user engagement patterns and content consumption behaviors
Create monthly content performance reports and strategic recommendations
Optimize content based on search algorithm updates and industry trends
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Content Marketing Expertise
5+ years' experience in content marketing with strong SEO focus
Proven track record creating content strategies for multi-location or franchise organizations
Expert knowledge of content optimization tools (BrightEdge, etc.)
Experience managing editorial calendars and content workflows at scale
Strong writing and editing skills with ability to adapt voice for different educational audiences
Knowledge of content management systems and their SEO capabilities
SEO & Analytics Skills
Advanced understanding of how content impacts search rankings and organic growth
Proficiency with SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Google Analytics)
Experience with keyword research and competitive content analysis
Knowledge of local SEO content strategies for multi-location businesses
Understanding of technical SEO as it relates to content optimization
Familiarity with conversion rate optimization for educational content funnels
Professional Skills
Self-directed contractor with proven content management capabilities in remote work environments
Excellent project management skills with ability to coordinate multiple content streams independently
Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate content data into strategic insights
Experience collaborating with marketing, admissions, and educational teams as an external partner
Ability to create comprehensive content style guides and training materials
Outstanding communication skills for presenting content strategies to stakeholders
Technical Requirements
Proficiency with content management systems (WordPress)
Experience with content optimization and analysis tools
Basic understanding of HTML and on-page SEO for content optimization
Knowledge of Google Tag Manager for content tracking and attribution
Familiarity with social media management and content distribution platforms
Understanding of accessibility standards in content creation
Success Metrics
Growth in organic traffic driven by content initiatives across domain network
Increased engagement metrics (time on page, pages per session, content shares)
Improved search rankings for target educational keywords and topics
Enhanced lead generation and conversion rates from content marketing efforts
Successful adoption of content processes and guidelines across school network

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
