Work Location: This position will be based at our Sedalia, MO location. 

Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Purpose: Leadership position responsible for social media advertising and storytelling within the Marketing Department.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create marketing collateral for specific social media channels, ensuring all content is accurate, consistent and on-brand.
  • Create visually compelling and well-written social media content that aligns with the bank's brand and voice across various social media channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and You Tube.
  • Curate, manage and publish social media content including images, videos and written content to actively engage with prospects and customers.
  • Develop the BTC Bank story and brand through videos, graphics and photos that make an emotional connection with our customers.
  • Craft persuasive and engaging copy for social channels, ensuring messaging is clear, concise and engaging. Written content should effectively communicate the bank’s messaging. This includes proofreading and editing content for grammar, spelling and punctuation errors.  
  • Coordinate, shoot and edit video content for social media posts, website updates and various advertising campaigns.
  • Assist in the coordination and development of department activities related to advertising, promotion, storytelling, research, community involvement and new product introduction.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of specific social media campaigns, analyzing engagement levels, reach and other metrics. Provide insightful reports to optimize future strategies.
  • Ensure all creative material meets compliance requirements.
  • Stay up to date on industry platforms, tools and trends to elevate the quality and efficiency of the marketing department.
  • Communicate directly with BTC Bank departments, and branches, and encourage trusting relationships.
  • Participate in the coordination and representation of bank events and programs throughout the year.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

Marketing Department Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with team members to accomplish marketing objectives.
  • Support the implementation of marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Contribute ideas for improving marketing standards and processes.
  • Actively participate in marketing meetings and brainstorming sessions.
  • Share creative and innovative ideas to enhance marketing strategies and practices.
  • Demonstrate the willingness to work outside of regular business hours, including weekends and evenings, to accommodate event schedules and customer interactions.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
  • Three to five years of marketing, social media and video editing experience.
  • Three to five years of experience with digital marketing software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.
  • Proven expertise in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative, visual content.
  • Possess a deep understanding of the underlying algorithms, user engagement metrics, and analytics tools specific to each social media platform to optimize content reach and performance.
  • Proven expertise in copywriting skills, with a strong portfolio showcasing engaging written content.
  • Excellent proofreading skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms.
  • Previous experience in the agriculture industry preferred.
  • Creative skills required for promotional concepts, product development and overall bank marketing.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite of products
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as a member of a fast-paced marketing team a must.


Physical Requirements:

  • This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to up to 50lbs. This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. 
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
